  1.     Quick Compacter 2.0 is a HyperCard stack that compacts other HyperCard
  2. stacks. It has many features that are not found in other stacks of this type.
  3. Specifically, you can compacter one stack, multiple stacks, an entire folder of
  4. stacks, a volume (disk) of stacks, all mounted volumes and finally a user
  5. defined list of stacks. Many of these features can be found in other compaction
  6. stacks, but this is the only stack (that I know of) that puts all these features
  7. in one. There are help files available under the button "Help--> Help File" on
  8. the main card.
  9.     One of the features that is unique to Quick Compacter is its ability to
  10. compact a stack or series of stacks regardless of the freespace in those stacks.
  11. This is useful for when Apple releases a new version of HyperCard. Apple
  12. recommended, "For optimal performance, use HyperCard Version 1.2.5 to compact
  13. stacks created with earlier versions of HyperCard." in the release notes stack
  14. that came with HyperCard 1.2.5. Quick Compacter 2.0 makes this tedious process
  15. very simple.
  16.     Quick Compacter 2.0 needs at least version 1.2.2 of HyperCard. It does
  17. work with version 1.2.5.
  18.     Quick Compacter 2.0 is shareware. I ask that you send me $10.00 (US) if
  19. you find this stack useful. I will keep a record of those who register and will
  20. send them information about the next released version of Quick Compacter as well
  21. as any updates to version 2.0. I am always looking for suggestions or problems
